I make handmade crocheted flowers. I use 1.8–2.0 mm crochet hooks and environmentally friendly materials such as yarn or cotton thread. By applying different crochet stitches, I crochet around 5 mm iron wire, then assemble the petals, flower center, stem, and leaves according to the natural form of real flowers. On average, it takes 2–3 days to complete one single flower. When necessary, I also use filling materials and dyeing techniques. Currently, my mother and I work together on the handmade production. I sell single flowers as well as arranged bouquets, and I also accept custom bouquet orders from customers. In addition, crocheted flowers are perfect as gifts or for indoor and outdoor decoration. They are easy to maintain, can be displayed permanently, and can be rearranged or combined in different ways. Moreover, crocheted flowers carry strong emotional and therapeutic qualities. Both the process of making them and the act of appreciating them bring relaxation and joy to the mind and body. This is also the meaning behind my brand name, Amati, which represents “loving yourself.”
